Monday, September 19, 2011 | 9:17 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — The Hickman softball team defeated Hallsville 10-0 on Monday at Antimi Fields.

Senior Andrea Drake hit a home run and a triple to lead the Kewpies past the Indians. Freshman Molly Carter went 2-for-3 with three runs scored.

Despite the impressive showing, Kewpies coach Courtney Haskell said her team faced tough pitching.

Hickman plays Jefferson City in a home game Tuesday before kicking off the Kewpie Classic this weekend.
