Wednesday, September 21, 2011 | 6:25 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — The First Baptist Church of Columbia will supply volunteers this weekend at The Wardrobe, a social service agency that has been collecting reduced-cost clothing items for needy families since 1969.

The church group will volunteer from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Volunteers will clean the store and help replace summer garments with fall and winter clothing, said Janet Kieffer, coordinator of the church's mission.

"We’re expecting about 15 people to volunteer," Kieffer said, adding that volunteers can come in anytime during the three-hour session.

Volunteers will meet at The Wardrobe, 715 Park Ave.

To sign up, call Janet Kieffer or Susie Bennett at 442-1149.
