COLUMBIA — Two men, one armed with a gun, robbed a Break Time convenience store early Wednesday morning, Columbia Police Officer Latisha Stroer said.

The two men went into the business, at 301 Nebraska Ave., and demanded money from the clerk, who gave an undisclosed amount to the men.

After receiving the money, one man fired the gun, damaging shelving inside the store. They ran east from the business with the money and stolen cigarettes.

One customer was in the store. No one was injured.

The suspects are both described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and of thin build. Both were wearing dark clothing at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 875-TIPS (8477).
