COLUMBIA — An armed man who robbed a smoke shop on Wilkes Bouldevard on Friday night matches the description of two robberies from Thursday night, according to the Columbia Police Department.

The man carried a handgun and demanded money at Bocomo Bay, 1122 Wilkes Blvd., sometime before 8:43 p.m., Public Information Officer Latisha Stroer said in an email.

The man fled the scene, going southeast on foot and carrying an undisclosed amount of money, Stroer said. No one was injured.

The robber was described as a 5-feet-10-inch to 5-feet-11-inch black man with a thin build. He wore all-black clothing, and a bandana covered his face. This description fits that of the man who robbed a Break Time convenience store on Paris Road and the one who robbed Ballenger Liquor on Ballenger Lane Thursday night, Stroer said.

Police request anyone with information to call the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 875-TIPS (8477).
