Rock Bridge first, Hickman second at district girls golf tournament

The Rock Bridge was first, and Hickman was second at the Class 2, District 6 Girls Golf Tournament on Thursday at the Fred Arbanas Golf Course in Kansas City.

Rock Bridge, which shot a 353, was the only team to have all five of its players medal individually. Morgan Reimler led the team with an 86 to tie for third. Kaitlyn Marsh and Makayla Baker finished in a three-way tie for fifth with Hickman's Laura Rowe with 88s. Amanda Baker finished in a tie for eighth at 91, and Megan Goree finished in a six-way tie for 13th with a 95.

Hickman, which shot a 376, was led by Rowe and Claire McDonald, who placed 10th with a 92. Patricia De Castro was 12th with a 94.

The Bruins and Kewpies advance to sectional competition Wednesday in Springfield, Mo.
