Columbia College falls to Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans 2-0

Columbia College soccer lost 2-0 on the road to conference foe Hannibal-LaGrange University on Thursday. The loss moves the No. 15 Cougars to 2-1 in conference play and 7-2 overall.

The first Trojans goal came in the 40th minute, putting them ahead 1-0 going into the break. The second goal came in the 73rdminute.

“We just couldn’t get a lot going,” Cougar coach John Klein said.

Matt McKenna took the loss in goal for Columbia College and had three saves in the contest.

The Cougars continue play Saturday at home when they face Lindenwood University-Belleville. The game will be a part of the Family Day/Homecoming activities.
