Missouri women's cross-country finishes ninth at Notre Dame Invitational

Missouri's women's cross-country team took ninth place out of the 28 teams that competed in the women's blue division 5K race at the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday.

Junior Kaitie Vanatta, the first Missouri finisher, placed seventh overall in 17:14.

Missouri's next female finisher was junior Bailey Belvis, who finished 42nd in 17:46.

The Tigers' men's team placed 19th out of the 26 teams that competed in the men's blue division five mile race.

Junior Max Storms — who won his previous race — was the first runner to finish for Missouri's men's team. He placed 46th overall in 24:53.

The next men's finisher for the Tigers was senior Dan Quigley. He came in 66th in 25:09. It was Quigley's first race of the season.

Missouri's next cross-country event is the NCAA Pre-Nationals meet on Oct. 16 in Terre Haute, Ind.
