Rock Bridge cross country teams sweep Parkway West Invitational

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge boys and girls cross country teams each won their races Saturday at the Parkway West Invitational in St. Louis.

All six of the Bruins' boys runners placed in the top 25 in the 120-runner field. Senior Caleb Wilfong placed second in 16:06, and junior Nathan Keown was third in 16:12.

Senior Sam Garrett led the Bruins' girls team, placing fourth out of 96 runners in 19:34. Freshman Kayla Funkenbusch was seventh in 19:47, and junior Megan Schulte was 10th in 19:52.

The Bruins will compete next weekend at the Border Wars Invitational at McNair Park in St. Charles.
