The Kewpies cross country team competed at the Helias Invitational at Binder Park in Jefferson City on Saturday. The boys team took second place overall out of 16 teams at the meet.

Two individual runners placed in the top 10 for Hickman in the boys 5K race. Senior Devin Sander finished second place overall with a time of 16:40, followed by senior Bobby Hanson in eighth place.

Only three sophomore girls raced for Hickman at the meet, and therefore they could not place overall as a team. The girls still yielded strong results. Madison May took fifth place with a time of 21:53, with Becca Katz finishing 11th and Paige Oursler in 14th place.

The Kewpies will be competing in a dual meet against Rolla next weekend at Bethel Park in Columbia.
