Missouri soccer team loses to Baylor

The Missouri soccer team lost 3-1 to Baylor Friday night at Betty Lou Mays Field in Waco, Texas.

Baylor jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, scoring both goals within the first 10 minutes of the game. Hanna Gilmore scored in the 2nd minute followed closely by Dana Larsen, who tallied a goal in the 10th minute. The Bears held that 2-0 lead till the halftime break.

Following halftime, Missouri sophomore Danielle Nottingham converted a corner kick in the 51st minute to cut Missouri's deficit to 2-1. Nottingham's fourth goal of the season tied her for the team lead in points with 11.

Baylor secured the win with a quick answer in the 55th minute by Larsen, her second goal of the match.

Missouri is now 10-6 and 1-4 in Big 12 play. The Tigers travel to Norman, Okla., for a game with Oklahoma at 1 p.m. Sunday, which will be televised on ESPNU.
