Rock Bridge football defeats Liberty

COLUMBIA – The Rock Bridge High School football team defeated Liberty 40-7 Friday night at William Jewell College in Liberty.

Rock Bridge senior quarterback Bo Bell threw two touchdown passes, one to junior Freeman Simmons for 61 yards and one to senior Brad Troyer for 40 yards.

The Bruins' defense recovered three fumbles.

Rock Bridge is now 6-2 on the season and will continue district play next Friday against Blue Springs South. The Bruins must win one of their remaining two district games to advance to the sectional round of the playoffs.
