ROCK BRIDGE: Cheerleaders to hold clinic to teach children basics of sport

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 | 4:45 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — Rock Bridge High School cheerleaders will hold a clinic Friday at the school to teach children the basics of the sport.

Children 4 years through sixth grade can enroll in the clinic with a $40 enrollment fee payable at the beginning of the clinic. It will run from 8 a.m. to noon, according to the clinic flier.

The cheerleaders are holding the clinic to generate funds for the team to go to a national competition, head coach Jessica Kendrick said.

Students in the clinic will get a chance to show off what they learned in a performance after the session and during the pre-game show of Friday's football game.
