Here are the three possible scenarios for redrawing public school boundaries in Columbia. They incorporate the new Battle High School and the reconfiguration of middle and junior high schools into intermediate schools.

Although the committee recommends choosing the intermediate and high school boundaries together, they can be chosen separately.

Use these maps, courtesy of Columbia Public Schools, to zoom in to your neighborhood to see where the boundary lines could be drawn.

These are the maps as presented by the district on Oct. 27. The maps also are available on the district's website. We'd love to hear feedback in the comments, but if you want your voice to be heard by the district, please provide comment at the district site.

Why do all of the boundaries run practically right up to Hickman? Color me stupid, but I would expect a school to be somewhere near the middle of a district, not at the edge of it. Looks like there will be kids who could walk to Hickman that instead will ride a bus for an hour or so a day.

You can definitely tell that some of the people drawing this up have ties to RB.

High School Approach *C* is an insult to the human race.
Tell the kids in ~Ghetto North~ that they won the geographical lottery and they will go to the school which will now be known as *Gated Community* High and not the *Ghetto* High or the new *Suburban* High.
