UM presidential search committee to meet in St. Louis

COLUMBIA — The UM System Board of Curators, meeting as the full search committee for a new system president, will convene Friday night at the Airport Marriott Hotel in St. Louis.

According to the agenda, curators will move to hold an executive session behind closed doors and will reconvene in closed session Saturday morning, similar to a search committee meeting held in Kansas City last week.

Following last week's full board meetings, board chairman Warren Erdman said the curators hope to narrow the field of candidates to a point that a list of finalists can be presented to the presidential search advisory committee within the next two weeks.

Last week, Erdman would not comment on the number of remaining candidates and reiterated that there is no timeline for making a decision.
