Rock Bridge soccer to play Washington in district semifinals

COLUMBIA — Washington beat Smith-Cotton 1-0 in double overtime in the Class 3, District 9 opener in soccer on Saturday afternoon at Rock Bridge High School, which will host all of the district games.

No. 4 seed Washington (10-16-1) advances to play No. 1 seed Rock Bridge (23-3) at 5 p.m. Monday in the district semifinals.

The other semifinal between No. 3 seed Hickman (10-14) and No. 2 seed Jefferson City (14-10-1) will follow at 7 p.m.

The winners of the two semifinals will meet for the district championship on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
