Columbia man in serious condition after being struck by vehicle

COLUMBIA — A Columbia man was taken to Boone Hospital Center in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle late Saturday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s online accident report, Isaac Guest, 31, was hit by a 1996 Dodge while running across Missouri 163, east of Route N. The driver, Charles Campbell, 45, was traveling east when the accident occurred. 

Guest was struck when he ran into the path of Campbell's vehicle, according to the report. He was taken to Boone Hospital Center and then transferred to University Hospital. As of Sunday morning, he remains in serious condition.
