COLUMBIA — Tuesday was the first day students attended Father Tolton Regional Catholic High School at its new facility. Classes have been held at Columbia College until the building was ready. The building at 1305 E. Gans Road has been under construction since August 2010.

The sun rises over Fr. Tolton Regional Catholic High School before the first day students attended classes in the facility. The building is scheduled to open all of its wings on Tuesday.

Pat Kelly teaches world history in the weight room on Tuesday at Fr. Tolton Regional Catholic High School. Because construction of the facility has not been completed, classes are being held in any available rooms, including the gymnasium, art room and music room.
Austin Gregory and Father Mike Coleman lead Mass on the first day at Fr. Tolton Regional Catholic High School next to the basketball court. The school is the only Catholic high school in Columbia.
