Attendance at Missouri State Fair hits 7-year high

SEDALIA — Attendance at the Missouri State Fair this year reached its highest mark in seven years.

Figures released Thursday show an attendance of 343,397 for the 11-day fair that occurred in August. That's up 7 percent from last year, and it is the highest amount since an attendance of 379,063 in 2004

The 2012 State Fair is scheduled to run Aug. 9 to 19.
