JEFFERSON CITY — Voters in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas are choosing four new representatives to the Missouri House to take over for lawmakers who moved to different jobs.
The special elections are being held Tuesday.
Three people are vying to replace Republican Rep. Sally Faith, who resigned after being elected mayor of St. Charles in April.
Three people also are running to succeed Democratic Rep. Jake Zimmerman, who resigned after winning an April election as St. Louis County assessor.
Two are competing to replace Democratic Rep. Jean Peters-Baker of Kansas City, who was appointed as Jackson County prosecutor in May.
Democrat Brandon Ellington is unopposed to succeed Democratic Rep. Kiki Curls of Kansas City, who won a special state Senate election in February.
