Missouri women's basketball beats Texas-San Antonio 70-50 in opener

Missouri women's basketball opened its season with a 70-50 win over University of Texas-San Antonio on Friday.
Junior Liene Priede shot 4-6 from beyond the 3-point line and led the Tigers with 18 points.
Christine Flores, a San Antonio, Texas, native, scored 17 points, collected nine rebounds and had four blocks and four steals.
Missouri entered the half with a 29-20 lead after going on a 9-0 scoring run with four minutes left to snap a tie.
The Tigers held the Roadrunners to 26.7 percent shooting, forced 18 turnovers and had 11 steals.
The Tigers travel to Texas A&M Corpus Christi for a game at 7 p.m. Saturday.
