Flores earns Big 12 honors for Missouri women's basketball team

COLUMBIA — For the first time, Missouri women's basketball player Christine Flores was named the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week.
Flores, a senior post player, scored 29 points against TAMU-Corpus Christi in a 75-58 Tigers victory Saturday in Corpus Christi, Texas. She also had nine rebounds against UT-San Antonio in 70-50 win Friday in San Antonio, Texas. The Texas native had eight blocks in the two games, bringing her career total to 124. Flores is now tied for fifth on the Tigers all-time blocks list.
Flores and the Tigers take on Saint Louis University at 7 p.m. Wednesday in St. Louis.
