COLUMBIA — Rollins Street between Providence Road and Tiger Avenue will close Thursday. It will reopen Friday, weather permitting.

Drivers and pedestrians will need to follow detour signs for neighboring streets — Kentucky Boulevard and Turner Avenue.

Keystone Excavating, a subcontractor of MW Builders, plans to install a new water line at 507 Rollins St. The city approved the street's closure for the private construction project, said Jill Stedem, Department of Public Works public information officer.
