COLUMBIA — A robbery at Dollar General Store, 3700 Monterey Drive, resulted in no arrests or injuries Wednesday night.

Officers responded to a call at 8:33 p.m. Wednesday at the store, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department. A man entered the store and confronted the manager, implying he had a weapon, but a weapon was not seen, the release said.

The release said an unknown amount of money was stolen. The man fled the scene, and the police have not arrested anyone, and a K9 track was unsuccessful.

The release said the suspect is a black man in his early 20s. He is 5-foot-8-inches tall and 160 pounds, the release said. He was described as slender and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.
