COLUMBIA — Four males were arrested in connection with shots fired outside of Rock Bridge High School on Monday afternoon.

Christopher Roseberry, 18, Devon Hicks, 18, Nicholas R. Thomas, 18, and a 16-year-old male were taken into custody after the incident, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

Two of the suspects were students who were arrested as they returned to class at Rock Bridge. The other two suspects were not students and were arrested at an apartment several hours later, according to the Police Department.

The high school and the Columbia Area Career Center were placed on modified lockdown after eight to nine shots were fired on Outer Road South Providence, the road that runs parallel to Providence Road in front of Rock Bridge.

No one was injured during the shooting. All four suspects have been charged with armed criminal action and first-degree assault.
