Columbia College women's basketball team runs past Baker

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College women's basketball team beat Baker (Kan.) University 87-66 on Tuesday night at the Arena of Southwell Complex to improve to 7-0 this season.

The Cougars, ranked No. 18 in the NAIA Top 25 preseason poll, forced the Wildcats (1-8) into 22 turnovers, resulting in 30 points.   

Kayla Rice and Heather English led the Columbia College with 17 points apiece. Rice also had six assists, and English had seven rebounds. Kaitlin Bogle tallied 14 points and Julie Teeple had seven rebounds.

The Cougars play next against Cumberlands at 5 p.m. Friday in Williamsburg, Ky.
