Hickman girls basketball beats Waynesville in season opener

COLUMBIA — The Hickman High School girls basketball team defeated host Waynesville High School 38-25 Thursday night in the Kewpies' first game of the season.

The Kewpies jumped out to an 18-7 lead on the Tigers to start the game. Emily Miller led the Kewpies with 13 points. Kendahl Adams and Andrea Drake added eight points each. Kim Lake recorded seven blocks.

The Kewpies play again at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Helias High School.
