Columbia man killed in car accident Sunday on Route WW

COLUMBIA — Tracy N. Dexter, 45, of Columbia was killed in a traffic accident early Sunday morning.

Missouri Highway Patrol troopers, assisted by the Boone County Sheriff's Department, responded to the scene of the accident at 12:50 a.m. on Route WW at North Fork Creek.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Dexter was driving east at a high speed and lost control while trying to negotiate a curve. The vehicle overturned and Dexter was partially ejected.

Dexter was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Boone County Medical Examiner Dori Burke pronounced Dexter dead at the scene just after 1 a.m.
