Hickman girls basketball advances to second round of tournament

The Hickman girls basketball team advanced to the second round of the McDonald's Tournament after defeating the Blue Springs junior varsity team 50-23 on Monday night at Blue Springs South High School. 

Freshman Emily Miller led the Kewpies (4-0), scoring 17 points, while fellow freshman Mikayla Logan secured 11 rebounds. Other top performers were sophomore Kendahl Adams, who had 10 points, and senior Kimberly Lake, who added nine points and eight rebounds. 

Hickman continues play in the tournament at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday against the winner of the Blue Springs South vs. Liberty game.
