COLUMBIA — Three Rock Bridge boys soccer players followed up All-Region honors last week with All-State recognition this week.

Forward Matt Kelly, defender Sam Stoeckl and midfielder Kory McDonald made the 2011 Boys Class 3 All-State team as announced by the Missouri State High School Soccer Coaches Association.

Kelly and Stoeckl were named to the first team and McDonald was honorable mention.

Kelly, who was named second-team All-State last year, was voted the Class 3 Offensive Player of the Year. Bruins head coach Kyle Austin was named the Class 3 Public School Head Coach of the Year.

Despite finishing third in the state tournament, only state champion De Smet finished ahead of Rock Bridge in the final Class 3 team rankings.
