LEXINGTON — Authorities are searching for a Pennsylvania man who escaped from a western Missouri jail over the weekend.

The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department identified the man as 39-year-old Tommy J. Haubrich, of Philadelphia. Haubrich was being held in the jail at Lexington for the U.S. Marshals Service on federal drug-related charges.

The sheriff's department said Haubrich was discovered missing Sunday afternoon. He escaped through a maintenance room to the jail's roof.

Haubrich is described as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He's clean-shaven, with light brown hair.

Lexington is about 35 miles northeast of Kansas City.
