COLUMBIA — A Harrisburg woman suffered minor injuries Sunday evening after a car accident on Old 63.

The two drivers were traveling in opposite directions and collided when they rounded a sharp curve and straddled the center line of the road. Carolyn Young's 2009 Toyota hit the side door of Carmon Wade's 2002 Chevrolet, according to an accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Wade, 28, was taken to Boone Hospital Center and treated for moderate injuries. She has been released from the hospital.

Both cars suffered extensive damage and were towed from the scene of the accident.

Wade and Young were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
