COLUMBIA — A Columbia woman, arrested Tuesday, confessed responsibility for multiple robberies over the past three months, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.
Police pulled over a van Tuesday afternoon that looked like one seen in surveillance videos of several robberies. The driver, Jessica M. Harris, 23, was wanted on suspicion of receiving stolen property. She was taken to the Police Department.
According to the release, during interviews with police Harris said she had committed multiple robberies. Detectives used information she gave to solve 12 robberies that happened between Sept. 22 and Dec. 8.
She is being held at the Boone County Jail on suspicion of 11 counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of second-degree robbery, the release stated. Her bond was not set Wednesday morning.
