COLUMBIA — Missouri sophomore volleyball player Lisa Henning was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association's All-America Third Team on Wednesday.

The outside hitter became the sixth Missouri volleyball player to earn AVCA All-America honors and the first since Lindsey Hunter was selected to the All-America First Team in 2005.

Henning enjoyed a breakout season in 2011, leading the Tigers with a school-record 523 kills. She also became the first Missouri volleyball player to lead the Big 12 in kills per set (4.65) and points per set (5.16).
