Columbia College men's basketball team wins opener at Chicago tournament

The Columbia College men's basketball team beat Lourdes 75-65 on Tuesday to win its first game of the St. Xavier Midwest Tournament in Chicago.

The Cougars (9-4) forced Lourdes in to 2o turnovers and shot 89 percent from the free-throw line.    

Jordan Dressler led Columbia College with 15 points and nine rebounds, followed by Henrique Medeiros with 13 points and Devin Griffin with 10. Matt Woodcock had eight points and five steals.

Corey Harvey paced Lourdes (6-9) with 27 points.
