SHOW ME THE RECORDS: U.S. map of influenza virus activity

Thursday, December 29, 2011 | 2:25 p.m. CST

You can learn a lot about your community, state and government. Open records help people keep government in check and help them better understand how government affects their lives.

For a complete list of Show Me The Records, go to:

The records: A weekly U.S. map of influenza activity

Why you'd want them: During the winter months, germs and viruses spread rapidly. The map shows the movement of the influenza (flu) virus across the country each week and when there is activity reported in Missouri. The website has additional data on the flu virus and prevention tips.

Where you get the records: Go to The map is displayed with a key of the levels of Influenza activity. To look at previous weeks, click "Previous Week" below the map.

How much it will cost: The information is free.
