Friday, December 30, 2011 | 1:47 p.m. CST

COLUMBIA — The city's Office of Neighborhood Services will be moving its entire staff to the Daniel Boone City Building  starting Tuesday.

After the move, transactions with Neighborhood Services will be handled on the third floor of the City Building.

In 2012, the Office of Neighborhood Services will become part of the Community Development Department, along with the Planning and Development Department and the Building and Site Development Division of Public Works.

The Office of Neighborhood Services was formerly located at 3601 S. Providence Road. Responsibilities include connecting to neighborhood associations, property maintenance code enforcement in residential areas, rental property enforcement and the city's volunteer programs. The entire staff will be making the move throughout January.
