Columbia College men's basketball team rolls past Peru State

COLUMBIA – The Columbia College men's basketball team defeated Peru State (Neb.) College 88-57 on Tuesday night at the Arena of Southwell Complex.

The Cougars (13-5) led 46-29 at halftime, forced Peru State into 19 turnovers, resulting in 23 Cougar points, and held the Bobcats (1-14) to just six field goals in the second half.

Devin Griffin led Columbia College with 18 points led the Cougars. Jordan Dressler (14 points) and Taylor Evans (13) also finished in double-digit scoring.

Derrick Williams had 12 points to lead Peru State.

The Cougars take a week off before beginning American Midwest Conference play next week when the host Park University at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 12.
