The Missouri men's basketball team is no longer undefeated.
The No. 7 Tigers lost 75-59 to No. 23 Kansas State on Saturday at Bramlage Coliseum. Missouri has not beaten Kansas State in Manhattan, Kan., since 2004.
Marcus Denmon led Missouri (14-1, 1-1 in the Big 12) with 17 points, and Michael Dixon scored 16. Rodney McGruder led Kansas State with 20 points.
The Tigers made only five shots in the first half, falling behind 44-25. Senior forward Ricardo Ratliffe spent much of the first half on the bench in foul trouble.
The Tigers had a 7-0 run midway through the second half to make it 52-39 with 11:47 left. But McGruder answered for Kansas State, hitting two free throws and converting a driving floater. After Jordan Henriquez coaxed in a left-handed hook for the Wildcats (12-2, 1-1), Will Spradling made a steal and hit McGruder for an alley-oop slam.
Just like that, the Wildcats led 60-39 with 8:51 remaining.
