COLUMBIA — College basketball fans who also are part of the Redbird Nation will be able to meet World Series MVP David Freese and other St. Louis Cardinals before Saturday's Texas-Missouri game in Columbia.

The statewide Cardinals Caravan visits Mizzou Arena at 10:30 a.m. before the Tigers face the Longhorns at noon. Cardinals fans are required to have a ticket to the sold-out basketball game.

Pitchers Jaime Garcia and Shelby Miller are scheduled to join Freese, a Missouri native who was also MVP of the National League Championship series.

The same group of players will visit Mexico and Jefferson City Friday and Moberly on Saturday night.

Other groups of Cardinals players and alumni are headed to Springfield on Friday; Hannibal, Joplin and Rolla on Saturday; and Cape Girardeau on Monday.
