Columbia man arrested on child molestation charges

COLUMBIA — Jimmie Lee Cuno, 52, was arrested Friday night in Centralia on felony child molestation charges.

At 8:05 p.m., Centralia police took Cuno into custody after receiving a tip from the Regional Child Advocacy Center in Columbia. He was arrested after a Boone County judge signed a three-count arrest warrant.

Cuno, of Columbia, has been charged with first-degree child molestation, a class B Felony.

The alleged incidents took place in Centralia in 2010 and involved two victims between the ages of 5 and 10 years old, according to Centralia police.

Following his arrest, Cuno admitted his involvement in the incidents to Centralia police As of Sunday morning, he was being held in Boone County Jail on $100,000 bond.
