LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Barbara Hoppe quick to respond to neighborhood's needs

Barbara Hoppe, an excellent Sixth Ward council representative, has been very helpful in numerous improvements of the Timberhill Road Neighborhood Association.

For some time the Timberhill Road Neighborhood Association had been struggling with the street potholes, which were so bad it was necessary to frequently drive on the wrong side of the road.

At a city sponsored meeting of the city neighborhood associations, I mentioned our road problem to Barbara. Her immediate response was, "I will review your road problem and report to the appropriate city officials."

One week later the street department was in the process of repairing the road-bed and laying a superior asphalt overlay on Timberhill Road and Timberhill Street.

Our neighborhood is most grateful to Barbara, our Sixth Ward councilwoman, for her continued concern for the citizens of her ward.

Thank you Barbara for your special attention, and the high priority you continue to give to the welfare of Sixth Ward neighborhoods.

Harold Johnson is president of the Timberhill Road Neighborhood Association.
