COLUMBIA — Freshman Rachel Updike set a Big 12 Conference record after she became the first gymnast to win four consecutive weekly awards.

Updike was named Newcomer of the Week for the fourth time this season after she helped lead the No. 17 Tigers to an upset of No. 4 Nebraska on Saturday.

Updike scored a 9.950 on the vault to win the vault title. Her score marked a personal best in the event. Updike also won the floor exercise, while senior Mary Burke finished second in the all-around.

The Tigers' 195.725-194.550 win was the first time Missouri has beaten Nebraska in the regular season since 1995. Updike currently leads the Big 12 on the vault and is ranked ninth nationally, with an average score of 9.900 in the event.

Missouri's next meet is Friday against North Carolina State at the Hearnes Center.
