Columbia College women's basketball earns fourth straight win

The Columbia College women's basketball team earned its fourth consecutive victory with a 78-72 win over Harris Stowe State on Thursday in St. Louis.
Balanced scoring and 86 percent free-throw shooting helped the Cougars (16-7, 6-1 in the American Midwest Conference) overcome 22 turnovers.
Freshman guard Tierney Seifert had a career-high with 20 points. Airelle Eldridge scored 17, and Julie Teeple and Heather English had 14 points apiece.
Columbia College plays next at 2 p.m. Saturday at Park University. The Cougars prevailed in the first meeting, beating the Pirates 83-74 on Jan. 12 in Columbia.
