Rootin'-Tootin' Chili Cookoff to be held Saturday

COLUMBIA — The seventh annual Rootin'-Tootin' Chili Cookoff returns to Columbia this Saturday.

The public is invited to sample chili recipes from 51 different teams competing in the event. Doors open at 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Expo Center, 2200 Interstate 70 Drive SW. Admission costs $10.

The Boys and Girls Club of Columbia will receive all proceeds from the event. Last year's cook-off attracted 1,500 people and raised $65,000.

If you buy your tickets at the CD Tradepost on E Broadway (next to Chipotle) they will give you a free CD or DVD as a thank you. Pretty cool.
