MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Activists trying to save the Blair Mountain battlefield from coal mining planned Friday protests in West Virginia and Missouri. These protests would take place at the offices of two companies that control access to much of the land where unionizing coal miners fought authorities in 1921.
