COLUMBIA — Eighth Street will have a temporary lane closure Monday and Wednesday, weather permitting.

According to a news release, the Public Works Department will close the southbound lane on Eighth Street from Broadway to Cherry Street during the day for remodeling work at the Tiger Hotel. The northbound lane will stay open.

There will be no parking on the west side of Eighth Street in this block during the construction. That part of the street will be blocked to pedestrians, as well.
