People enjoyed outdoor activities including climbing and rappelling at Capen Park in warm weather on Friday.

Denean Brady helps set up ropes with a fellow climber at Capen Park on Friday. After graduating from MU, Brady plans on moving west and training in helicopter rappel to extinguish wildland fires. Brady worked in Wyoming last year and was able to accompany firefighters during a wildland fire. "They call it a fire bug," Brady said. "It just kind of bites you."
Hayley Olson and Chad Cross climb at Capen Park on Friday. The warm afternoon was a perfect chance for Olson and Cross to climb for hours in the afternoon and into the evening.
Nathaniel Duker, left, and Greg Chrisman rappel at Capen Park on Friday. The warm weather on Friday afternoon gave Chrisman a chance to rappel at Capen Park for the first time.
Jacob Biener swings to untangle himself from his climbing ropes at Capen Park on Friday. Beiner was able to continue climbing even after the sun went down with the aid of his headlamp.
