Missouri men's golf places 15th at John Burns Intercollegiate

The Missouri men's golf team finished the John Burns Intercollegiate on Friday in a tie for 15th place with the University of Texas El Paso. The meet was the first of the spring season for the Tigers and was held at the Turtle Bay Resort in Hawaii.

Sophomore Emilio Cuartero placed highest individually for the Tigers, tying for 41st place overall. 

The Tigers ended the first round of the tournament tied for sixth place. After the second round they dropped to 17th place before moving back up to 15th on the final day. 

The Missouri women's golf team also opens its winter season this weekend. The team starts the season off at the Texas State Claud Jacobs Challenge on Sunday in Victoria, Texas.
