STOVER — A 3-year-old central Missouri boy who died after allegedly being abused by his mother's boyfriend will be remembered during a candlelight vigil and march in his hometown.

Two Stover residents organized the community march and vigil on Thursday for Blake Litton of Stover. The Jefferson City News Tribune reported all proceeds will go toward funeral costs, medical costs and support for Blake and his family.

The boy's mother, 25-year-old Jamie Litton, was charged last week with second-degree murder and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Her boyfriend, 21-year-old Thomas Presley of Stover, is charged with second-degree murder.

Prosecutors allege that Presley reported that the boy died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver along Missouri 135.
