Orlyn "Wray" Homan, Oct. 16, 1935 — Feb. 24, 2012, of Columbia

Orlyn "Wray" Homan, 76, of Columbia, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at Nilson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Orlyn “Wray” was born October 16, 1935 in Otterville, Mo., the son of George and Edith Klein Homan. He married Patricia Jones on August 11, 1957, in Sedalia. He worked for UPS as Center Manager for 10 years. He then worked for 28 years for Joe Machens Ford. Wray loved playing and participating in practical jokes,… “Tag, you’re it.” He retired from Joe Machens Ford in December, 2010.

Wray loved car racing and sponsored several local drivers. He also loved football, basketball and had a huge love for animals. He was a member of Valleyview Community Church where he will be missed by many friends both there and throughout the community. 

Survivors include his wife, Patricia. One stepson, Danny Lee Beene. Three daughters, Edie and Crystal Dennise Homan. Gladys McFarland. His parents, one brother, and four sisters preceded him in death.
